This is a new high quality deck of cards that is a replica of the A. Dougherty deck first printed in the 1860's in New York. The marketing ploy used was this "Illuminated" deck allowed for much easier card recognition. The gold gilding on each card may have helped in dimly lit saloons and gambling halls, but without a doubt it makes for a beautiful deck of old west cards. This deck comes in a hard display box.
