Whatever you choose to call these things is fine with me, but I don't think Billy-the-Kid wore a "scarf" and I know he didn't wear a "wild rag", but I'm straight up sure he wore a bandanna! As for me, I've been wearing bandanas for over 40 years and heck I'd never heard of a "wild rag" until about 5 or 6 six years ago. So what's in a name anyway!
Here they are the finest Silk Jacquard Bandannas we know of. We have been selling these for over 10 years and they are the best we have found. We know very well that there are plenty of cheaper ones out there. In the past we have even been talked into carrying some "other" ones and we have never been happy, and found it hard to wear them ourselves. I currently have 4 of these in my outfit, all but one new one have had years of hard hot Arizona use and still look and work great. Silk is like leather there are different grades and qualities. Like leather the first test is feel. I can tell low grade silk with one touch. The next test is appearance. Fine quality silk jacquard will have distinct levels of tone and shine woven into the fabric. The lesser the quality the flatter the look.
If you have never worn a silk bandanna before let me dispel some misconceptions: Cow-boys didn't were silk - Well, yes they did! They only had a few choices in natural fabrics, primarily wool, cotton and silk. Silk was very available back then and it was the best choice. Silk is cool in the heat and warm in the cold. And ... high quality silk is not fragile! With a reasonable amount of care your silks will last and last! Once you wear a fine quality silk bandana you will never want to wear anything else. These silk bandannas are "Yard Squares" which measures out to an actual 35"X 35".
