These Y back suspenders, or braces as they were called during the old west period, are completely handmade (hand carving no squeezed out embossing) in D.R. Griffiths Arizona Leather shop. D.R. uses only the finest leathers for all of his items. Do not mistake our leather for some of the stuff on the market. We are a high quality maker and take great pride with every piece we make. We never short cut quality for time. From leather selection to final finish, our work is hands on in the U.S.A. We use high quality hardware from Chicago screws to halter buckles - no junk! These blood brown braces are fully hand floral carved - pocket and straps. They are airbrushed and antique washed to accent the carving detail.

  We have designed these special braces from the requests of our customers who wanted a handy place to secure their spectacles (eyeglasses) especially when wearing their favorite pocket-less cow-boy shirt. These braces are essentially the same as our derringer braces except we have replaced the holster with a special open top pocket. Besides glasses this is a great place for tally pencils, jackknifes, bordello tokens, etc. The pocket closes with a Sam Browne stud. Eyeglasses can be inserted and retrieved from the top without using the Sam Browne.  These are not clip on suspenders your britches will have to have buttons or rivets for attachment. We do offer other attachment items that will snap to these braces - see our store. This item as listed is finished in Blood Brown, but is also available in black and light oil(natural). When ordering please send along your height, waist measurement and which side you want the pocket on - left chest or right chest.
